The Upper Back

What's as common as a stiff neck and shoulders? Weakness in the upper back. They're buddies. By learning to harness strength in this area, the shoulders naturally roll back into place, the neck lengthens, the chest opens up, the lungs can work properly and the spine is in a healthy long position. In short, your posture transforms. I see it happen to everyone who develops an understanding of the upper back. Have patience, this is a particularly difficult area of the body to access. Your shoulders and neck will want to take over the work of the upper back and lats, so don't allow that to happen (unless you want to grow your neck!) BALLET HIIT targets this area. As I always say, your body is always with you so don't wait for your 'workout time'. Whatever you do, pull the shoulders down, keep your neck long and engage your upper back.
